FBO stands for Fixed-Base Operator. A private terminal at an airport dedicated to business aviation, separate from the commercial terminal. You arrive by car, you walk through a lounge, you board within fifteen minutes. No queues, no check-in, no systematic baggage scan.

AOC stands for Air Operator Certificate. An official authorisation issued by the country's aviation authority (in France, the DGAC) that allows an operator to carry paying passengers. Without an AOC, an aircraft cannot operate commercial public transport. hellojet works only with operators holding a valid AOC.

These are two independent audit frameworks for business aviation operators. Wyvern Wingman is American, an annual audit of operational safety (pilots, maintenance, procedures). IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) is international, organised into three Stages, with Stage 3 the most demanding. Both sit above the AOC regulatory minimum.

The operator owns the aircraft and the pilots, holds the AOC and operates the flight. The broker is the intermediary who negotiates the best aircraft at the best price for you across a network of operators. hellojet is a broker, not an operator. hellojet owns no aircraft of its own. Every flight is operated by a Wyvern Wingman or IS-BAO partner.

An informal industry classification by cabin size, range and number of passengers. Light: 4 to 7 passengers, 2 to 3 hour flights, 3,000 km. Midsize: 6 to 8 passengers, stand-up cabin, 4 to 5 hours, 5,000 km. Heavy: 8 to 13 passengers, 6 to 8 hours, 9,000 km. Ultra Long Range: 13 to 19 passengers, 13 hours and beyond, 14,000 km. No legal standard, just a commercial convention.

SEPA transfer offers the full traceability required by anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing regulation. Credit cards and cryptocurrency raise issues of reversibility and verification of the source of funds. The business aviation sector operates on a high average ticket and holds to strict compliance standards. It is not a constraint on the client, it is a choice of transparency.
